Arrivals

 Sunday 26-2-23: A warm welcome from students and parents of the Croatian  Erasmus+ team

1st Day(27-2-23): At the Croatian school.  Welcome from the school                      Principal and the project's coordinator.

At first,  Team building activities and games to get to know each other,  and afterwards "break the ice".

Presentations of countries made by students

The students from each country participating in the program created a presentation (ppt) about the most important things such as ancient and new monuments, famous people, scientists, food, morals and customs and elements of culture that are characteristic of their country.

This was followed by a group quiz game entitled "How much do you know about the partner countries? Culture, monuments, famous people...".

Dinner – Pizza night for students and teachers

2nd Day: The 2nd day started with two workshops at the school in Croatia. In the 1st workshop they created ceramics for charity and in the 2nd workshop they made their own souvenirs and a science workshop .

     

  

In the following

, there  was  a zoom meeting  where the students presented and  donated 

their  Didactic games to – Center Klasje, a center  in Croatia that takes care of children without parent care

.

3rd Day: The 3rd day started with a trip to the capital of Croatia , Zagreb. First visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum of Technology. There, the participating students, experienced the technology of the past and played with the idea of how it can affect the present and future of our lives. Taking part, they witnessed Nikola Tesla's visionary ideas  by participating in interactive demonstrations in Tesla's cabinet.

4rd Day: Tour of Međurje 

Visiting  the Visitor center „Med dvemi vodami“ – the county's natural heritage and the need to    preserve it – exhibition and workshop.

-        Visit to the place where raw oil was first exploited

-        Mill on the Mura river – traditional wooden mill

The old wooden river mill is located in Žabnik, the northernmost point of Croatia. It represents a unique example of traditional architectural heritage in Croatia and beyond. The sound of murmuring water and creaking millstone take the visitors back to 1902, when flour was ground for the first time on that floating “old man”.

-        Visit to Čakovec – Treasure hunt, The local museum tour – Treasury of Međimurje, Čakovec castle and center.

Last day at Pleškovec's school in Croatia. Ceremony for the awarding of certificates, dinner from parents and school , the student's  creations  and a lot of gifts for students and teachers.  The evening ended with lots of dancing and fun that brought students and teachers of all participants very close, creating friendships that we believe will remain unchanged over time!!!

We thank our Croatian  friends for the wonderful hospitality and for what they offered to our children. We came back full of beautiful images, amazing experiences, and with even more friends!!! Thank you, Ivana, Marijana, Ruzica, Jelena, and Croatian students and families for the amazing hospitality. Thank you, Croatia !!! You are our best friends!!!
