                                 Polish School

A few words about American Elementary School:

The American Elementary School is run by the American-Polish Educational Association, a registered non-profit organization. We are non-public; primary school with the entitlements of a public school. We have 236 students ( age 7 – 15 ) and 42 teachers. We have an excellent reputation on the market and are recognized as one of the best schools in our province and in the country. We have a track record of success, and last year we celebrated our 25th anniversary. Our test scores, both the national tests provided by our Ministry of Education and the Pearson SAT 10 standardized tests have been consistently high, reflecting our student’s ability to perform at a high level in both Polish-language and English-language assessments.

Our school operates within a bilingual educational system. Subjects taught in English: biology, mathematics, world history, social studies, geography, art, physics and chemistry, technology, science, early school education, music, physical education. In addition to the Polish core curriculum, we carry out many extra-curricular school subjects implemented as clubs after traditional lessons. Thanks to our international teaching staff (e.g. teachers from the USA, New Zealand), we can participate in projects presenting not only an European but also global approach to education. In 2016 we achieved membership in the Council of International Schools, a Geneva-based school improvement organization. From 2020 we have a  status of an UNESCO Associated School.
